Rooted in Support.

We provide impactful support that is student-centered and industry driven. Our primary goal is to encourage, develop, and financially support students pursuing careers in the pulp, paper, and allied industries.

Through full-tuition scholarships, grants, paid internships, and direct access to industry leaders, we remove financial barriers and offer students real-world experience and career guidance. Professional and academic support—such as resume reviews and networking opportunities with top employers—further prepares students for success.

As a result, graduates enter the workforce with little or no debt, career-ready, and equipped fir high-demand jobs, often starting above $80,000. Our program consistently delivers 100% job placement and produces highly skilled engineers ready to lead the industry forward.

We bridge the gap between education, industry, and opportunity.

Since our founding in 1960, SPPF has served as a vital link—between students and academics, employers and job seekers, engineering and environmentalism.

We foster collaboration, opening doors for students while helping to meet the demands of a vital and evolving industry. Its possible because of a deeply engaged community of volunteers, donors, alumni, and industry leaders who understand the importance of the pulp, paper, and allied industries.

Built to Connect.

Driven by Impact.

What students learn here at ESF doesn’t stay in the classroom. It changes the planet.

In an industry focused on renewable materials and sustainability, students graduate ready to contribute from day one. Their work helps replace plastics, reduce waste, and create the products we rely on. They design more sustainable ways of living to build a future that’s better for everyone.

SPPF champions sustainability. We are passionate about the pulp, paper, and allied industries because we truly believe in them.
